Kami had her bridal shower on Saturday and I made this picnic quilt for her gift. Why all the R's? Her last name will be Robinson. The letters are reverse applique, which I'd been wanting to try. It was pretty easy and fun to make!
Marinne won 3rd place in an essay contest, so we went to an award dinner for her last week. The winners were selected out of students at four campuses, so we are proud of her! The only down side was that the dinner was spaghetti. As Marinne pointed out that night- you can't expect much when it's a free meal.
Our good friend Jordan has a chance to win free Lasik surgery, and we need your help so he can win! He and Ray made a video that was selected as one of the top 10, and the two with the most votes win the surgery. Just go to http://www.nba.com/suns/fans/vision_challenge.html. and click by the picture of Jordan. You can vote once a day through Friday.
"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was here and that I really lived." -Marjorie Pay Hinckley
