My dad loves festivals, all sorts of festivals. So on Monday we made our yearly venture to the Renaissance Festival. One year my dad even swung by the Greek Festival on the way home from the Renaissance Festival. I went on the bungee trampoline and did a few moves, but nothing as amazing as Bethany's performance last year. My mom said she looked just like Peter Pan.
Richard will be so jealous that you guys went without him. I'm sure if it's still going on next week, we'll have to go. How was the mullet sighting? Any good ones.
HI. I am so slothful, I haven't written on my blog forever but I just spent the last 20 minutes reading yours, amy's and Richard and erica. I too forgot many times to be the 'tooth fairy' alas Klydi still remembers that bit of a mess up, but she is turning out okay for the most part. As far as anwereing questions,,,, I wish I knew how too, I always wish that someone was my writer like on the Andy Griffith show, he always said the right things and so profound. You have great kids because you are a great mom. I think I have learned 2 things that matter 1) make sure your kids know that you love them (which I am sure yours do) and 2) no matter what you are doing... listen and talk to them!! They will remember when you don't. I too need to seek the sunshine more than the storms.. I will try to remember that too.. I want to be like President HInckley!!! I will try to add to my blog this weekend and try some pictures..I still don't get it very well. oh well,, love you tons!!!!
now that you are seasoned at the bungee trampoline next year i expect flips. and be careful handing out "peter pan" titles, that is bethany's life long dream.
You scum sucking pigs. You sons of motherless goats. I can't believe you went without me. I'm coming out next week, all the way from Buffahell, just to go to the festival, and you go without me. And I thought that Amy's comment said Peterpan "tities," when I first read it. That would be inappropriate.
I can't stop giggling about the sons of motherless goats comment and the Richturd comment. I love watching siblings fight! Was that YOU on the bungee thing? And one of your tiny children? You are a good mama to allow them to bungee.
OH! I am so jealous! I haven't been in forever it seems like. I am glad to know you are allowing your children such enriching cultural experiences. I wish they had such festivals here...something tells me that Ukrainians just wouldn't get the whole reenactment of another century thing.
"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was here and that I really lived." -Marjorie Pay Hinckley

Sorry Richturd, we had to go when it was 1/2 price - you know how cheap our fam is!
