Marinne's Recital

Marinne had a violin recital last Saturday and did a great job. I hope she will stick with the lessons so she can develop this talent. I love the violin, it just takes a long time to get it sounding really good. We are lucky to have such an amazing teacher for her. Blake started piano lessons and loves it so far. I think it's important for music to be a part of my kids' lives. I'm hoping they got the good Hammond singing genes instead of mine!

Cool!! I would love to hear her sometime. I can't believe Blake is doing piano...thats way cool. It is important for the kids to develop these talents while young, so much easier then too. Good job MOM.

I always wanted to play the piano or an instrument and be able to sing. Oh well, hopefully my kids will get Heath's singing voice and musical talent.

I agree that music is important in childrens lives. It is also a brain stimulant. How about that!

It's been great to watch Desirae and Jed Aaron excel at Guitar and Piano.

Have a great day!

I was so excited when Blake and Marinne wrote me! I'm working on writing them back...but ya, Blake told me he started pinao. He'll do grandly! Just don't let them give up...I regret not pursuing it more seriously.

Yes, the Hammond singing gene is good but hey, the "Coug" gene wouldn't be a bad thing! :)

Kudos to Marinne for all that practice, and to y'all for enduring the first difficult violin sounds! I want to hear her too!

Go Marinne! I hope she will love it forever. Hopefully there will never be any intentional string breaking or contests on who can be the last chair. I regret not taking the six years I tortured the violin through school more seriously and actually trying to do better. I was just so horrible. Hopefully my kids will get the Petersen music gene and not the Vanderpool.
