Summer Snippets

Here's what we've been up to lately... eating ice cream (real and fake)
going to The Children's Museum...

which had a NOODLE FOREST,

interesting modes of transportation,

and a cool handkerchief vacuum!

We went to breakfast with cousins and got Mickey Mouse pancakes
(I got a nice big cinnamon roll and an omelett).

We wouldn't survive the summer without a dip in the pool now and again!!!
Don't you love baby chub?
Now if I can just think of more activities when we are home. We can't go out and do something fun everyday, and the kids get bored and cranky (oh, maybe that's me) when cooped up in the house for too long. "Oh What Do You Do in the Summertime?"

Check out the bookstores like bookmans, Borders-any closeby. They have story times and craft days, etc.

I had gotten several workbooks well before school got out at the dollar store along with fat stamps to stamp on their hands or papers and we have (dollar store) prizes for a week of well done work. We have MOVIE DAY, craft days, workbook days, flashcard days, sandbox time, hang out with friends days, and whatever the heck else we feel like doing. SUMMER IS AWESOME! (just wish it wasn't so hot and that kids never fought) (hey I rhymed) lol

We are in the same boat...what to do when you have to be home all day. Marinne is such a cute girl and so smart. We LOVED having her over last night. The girls had a blast and I think the first book club was a success. I am so grateful my daughter has friends like your daughter!!!
